We felt very safe and enjoyed the view of the lake from the cabin. It was too cold and windy to be outside. Close proximity to Amish community. Some suggestions for the owner: Window blinds on the large windows for nighttime, soap in the showers and dishwasher detergent for the dishwasher. "A very cute and cosy log cabin on the shores of Shipshewana Lake. We celebrated 2 - 70th birthdays and 1 - 50 year anniversary this weekend and enjoyed the cosy ‘feel’ of the cabin whenever we were there. Enjoyed the Lights of Joy drive thru. Beautiful. "

"The cabin worked for a home base for us, but it was not what was pictured...not even close!! outside was nothing like the picture, cabin looked older. Upon arrival, kitchen sink was dirty, stove had obviously had something hot spilled on knobs that were melted and grimy, stove had no propane, we had to switch the tank over (they did refill it), they provide the charchoal grill as listed, but no utensils.
