"I don't like saying bad things but the place was not clean. I had to move the couch to sweep up the food, plates, and bugs. I had to also sweep around the windows lots of bugs. The mattress cover on the pull out bed was full of hair and crumbs. I brought my sheets as stated but the previous people must have not done so. Other than that everything else was fine. "So the house is beautifully furnished, the decor is very nice. My family said it's a nice 70s style house with a touch of modern, and the appliances work very well. There are no laundry appliances. River access in the back yard, is good, over grown with lily pads. But still very nice and great vacation spot."

"Cute house outside of Leakey, close to the west fork of the frio. River is dry for the most part, but they have been going through a terrible drought. Back porch has beautiful views of the hills. Nice walking trail down to river bed. House is old and has alot of charm, but needs some repairs and updates to make the house more comfortable. "

"We loved our stay at Ash Creek Hideaway. The home and property were just as described in the listing. It is very peaceful with lots of nature to enjoy. We enjoyed bird watching and using our telescope to see the dark night skies that we don't get in the city. Having a fenced in yard was wonderful, allowing our dog to be off leash when outdoors. The home itself was well maintained and has plenty of space, including a nice big kitchen. We highly recommend and look forward to staying here...

"My wife and I frequent the Texas Hill Country and look for quiet cabins in remote areas. This one was perfect for us. The cabin is well maintained, clean, and lacking in nothing. The location was remote, quiet, and literally on the river. It is hard to access the water because of the steep river bank. There is a large rope provided to stabilize your climb down and back up.
