"La Villa des Consuls is located in the heart of old Sarlat, with all the amenities that entails. The staff is nice and helpful, putting us in touch with a great guide and setting up our taxis to and from the rail station. Breakfast is tasty and reasonably priced, but above all, our two bedroom room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. It also included a usable kitchen and a small balcony overlooking the main commercial street. Despite that, it was quiet. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Magnificent building. A chateau/Museum type of setting. So large, I literally lost my way around a couple of times. Beautiful grounds. Room was super clean and comfortable. High ceiling, large window."

"Just brilliant. The rooms are in an excellent refurbishment of an ancient house in the centre of the medieval city. Communication was excellent - we loved the films describing where to find the parking and the entrance. The parking is free and close so please dont let that put you off staying here."
