"We loved our stay at the White Lion. Rooms were lovely- a view of the river i would recommend. Food was lovely- breakfast and evening meal. The staff were lovely. Hebden Bridge was at its best, in the sunshine on the day we visited. Lots to do on the door step of the hotel, all within easy strolling distance. "We stayed here as a couple but also as part of a larger family group, including my niece and nephew (12 and 8 respectively). Our room was the Illingworth room. It was huge, facing out across the road to the lovely old church. Road noise was minimal and the bed extremely comfy with good pillows which were not too soft, perfect for us. We slept well. "A fabulous little gem. The bar man even fixed my broken heel! Now that's going above and beyond. The lovely ladies even made My dog his own sausage for breakfast. Beds were comfy. My only issue would be it's a little bit cold in places but it's a old building whose owners (not staff) need to give it a bit of TLC "
