"The apartment is charming and in the most beautiful spot with views over the island and swimming in the lake from the garden. Stefano could not have been more helpful and provided extensive information to cover every aspect of our stay. The apartment is only a 5 minute walk from the town. No aircon but Stefano provided us with fans to cool us at night. We loved our time in Orta - it is a very special place indeed."

"Außergewöhnliche Wohnung mit großartigem Garten und supernetten Gastgebern. Einzig die kleine Kochzeile ist nichts fuer Selbstversorger und die enge Hofeinfahrt eine fahrerische Herrausforderung..Aber, eh, wir sind in Italien, und da sollte man nicht so zimperlich sein. Zumal die nächste Bar und der öffentliche Parkplatz nicht weit sind. "

"The apartment is like a 1970s time capsule! We were a bit shocked at first, but it is super clean and in great shape. There is a washer if you need it and a kitchen with everything you need. The porch is huge with gorgeous views of the lake. As far as I know, there is no wifi. I reached out and never heard back. There also is no shower, but there is a tub with a shower head on a hose. "The photos on the website were absolutely spot on! The apartment was light and bright. Self check in was easy and exactly as described. The situation above Lago Maggiore was breathtaking and even in the rain the view was ever changing. Out of season the local restaurants were not open but a new supermarket in Stresa with a carpark was good for shopping and the apartment was well equipped for cooking. A handy tip - if the hire car company offers to upgrade to a bigger car, turn them down...

You MUST download the YouTube directions on picking up the key and accessing the garage or you will be lost!!! Finding the location for pickingup the key is a double challenge.
