"Perfect apartment with everything you need in a great location. The communication with the owner was over and above what was expected. Messages the night before providing clear instructions for checking in and contact details just in case we had any issues, which we didn’t. We arrived early and we were allowed to check in early. "Contacted property manager and Vrbo the day before to enquire about accessing the property. Received no response. Called the owner at 9.15 on the day. He sounded confused but raised no issue, so I got on with my day. Received a text after 10.30 to say the property was not available! Apparently vrbo had not coordinated the availability. Host offered to book us into a local hotel…. Not ideal as we could have done that ourselves (and chosen a better hotel) but we had plans with friends and dinner...
