"Had a wonderful 10 day stay at Chantauvent. Behind the hotel is Blue Bay beach, one of the best beaches in Mauritius. Great opportunity to snorkel and see marine life. Some decent restaurants nearby and airport is only 10 mins away. Staff were helpful and friendly and the room was in good condition"

"Nous avons été accueillis comme des membres de la famille! Les hôtes sont hyper accueillants, gentils, accommodants, bienveillants et font en sorte que vous ne manquez de rien. L’endroit est calme, c’est hyper propre et il y a une petite piscine pour se rafraîchir. Le déjeuner est bon et copieux. De plus il y a deux restos à deux pas pour le dîner. Nous avons pris une chambre avec terrasse et nous avons apprécié cet option. Franchement je recommande cet endroit ! Pour le prix en plus, n’hésitez...

"We loved the hotel’s position right on the beach. The staff were very friendly. But could be better with just a few tweaks, like some chairs need cushions on. Less time waiting for orders to be taken and food did take a while sometimes. Rooms were good but being an older couple the stairs were an issue for us as there is no lift. We would stay again if we come back here to see our son as it was a nice break to recuperate after a long flight."

"Easy check in, a lovely host, helpful recommendations and a spacious room. There were big common areas and kitchen to use. We had a nice view of the waterfront as well!"

"The hosts at the guest house were so fantastic and helpful! One night the taxi was late, so they drove me. "

"the property was in a unique location,the view from my room was beautiful and unforgettable, the garden was full of beautiful exotic birds, the trees and surroundings were lush and exotic, a truly exotic mauritian experience."

"Very helpful owner: sorted taxis and let us borrow beach towels for the day. Late check out is charged at 35 euros for use of room until 5pm. "

"1st night no hot water. Geyser didn’t work. Aircons don’t work. Cockroaches in room. No soaps, shampoo, etc. They don’t accept cards and only told me this when I wanted to settle my bill the night prior to check out. The owner insisted on me walking almost 2km to go withdraw cash at 9pm. Which was a major inconvenience. I will never stay there again. NEVER!!!"

It was away from the traffic and about 10 minutes away from the grocery store, restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed Kris' company. He had our breakfast ready rain or shine. "Fabulous Resort. Truly felt like we were in paradise. All the staff were very polite and friendly - Tania at reception and Fazal at poolside. Food for breakfast was great especially enjoyed the addition of make your own juice. Buffet dinner at La Patio was good with different theme each night and Citronella restaurant was also very nice. Would definitely consider returning in the future. "

"We had a fantastic 5 days at this resort. Everything worked very well. Our room had a wonderful terrace/balcony, was spacious, clean with all the necessary amenities. The beach was a stone throw from our accommodation; sandy and a little rocky like all beaches in Mauritius. Food was very good, both the Indian and Italian buffets, as well as the a la carte. My only gripe is the cost of wine, which is true of all hotels in Mauritius. Many Brits/French and Russians. "

"Absolutely loved everything about the JW Marriott Le Morne! The setting is dreamy, the sea is so transparent, the staff is kind, caring and efficient. The rooms and common areas/restaurant are so tastefully decorated. I rate this hotel well above some more famous Mauritian establishments, such as Le St Geran. When in Mauritius, I will always go back to this hotel. Thanks for making our stay a truly memorable one!!!!"
