"My single room was quite small but I was surprised at how well appointed it was. It was reasonably quiet on a monday night with no street noise. The two meals I had while staying, we both excellent as were all the staff I encountered."

"Absolutely loved our stay, and we’re so happy with our room. The bar and restaurant staff were super friendly and helped us enjoy the wide selection of drinks at the bar and a lovely dinner at the restaurant. Would absolutely recommend the food, and would urge you to stay!"

"What a great find. The downstairs of the hotel has been upgraded and was cost, tasteful, excellent service from friendly staff. We had the 6 course tasting menu for dinner which surpassed all expectations. The restaurant for Sara by Sanjay was beautifully decorated and each course was sublime. Service was exceptional and overall atmosphere really lovely. Hotel in process of upgrading bedrooms and will all be lovely when complete. We will be back - brilliant stay and would definitely recommend. "

"A great country inn. Exactly what I was looking for. Staff is friendly and helpful. I was treated to a local Scottish folk song jam session in the bar since I landed there on their regular meeting night. Very welcoming crowd. Great fun! It’s a country inn, not a hotel, but it’s perfect accommodations if you’re traveling by car. Close to Stirling Castle, Wallace monument and other sites of interest. "

"Really lovely place right on Loch Fyne. A lovely walk you can do, off road, that takes you round to the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar. Lovely evening meal and breakfast Really friendly staff Gave a four not a five as no hot water from the bathroom sink tap but shower was lovely and hot"

"We stayed here as it was on a list I had for locations to stay. Easy to get to the Loch Lomond area and a short jump to Stirling or Glasgow. The rooms were clean, the staff were wonderful, and we enjoyed the bar and the conversation with some local folks. Spar just across the street. This is a nice place, and I'd stay here again."

"Stayed at hotel for 2 nights to visit friends. Our hosts Pete and Elliot went out their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Would be more than happy to recommend and would definitely book again. Room spotless and breakfast delicious. "

"This cottage makes a great base for exploring the Argyll forest and the local area. Host kept us informed, lots of info on the local area in the property. Has a lot of character and everything you need. Would definitely stay here again. "

"This place is for people who love peace and quiet and privacy, we do. Noise from the road is almost minimal, perhaps if you sit in the front garden but we spent all time in the back garden watching sunrises, ships passing by, listening to bird songs early morning, fishing from the private beach. Location worked well for us, we used our car to get around, nearest supermarket is in Dunoon about 15 minutes drive away. The property is well maintained, decorated, comfortably furnished, heating, WiFi...

"This property is a dump!! When we arrived it had not been cleaned from the previous rental. It is in a run down neighborhood in a run down building with many steps from the street to the unit. The bathroom was in poor condition aside from the cleanliness issue. Find something else, you have been warned!!"
