"The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things...

"Stay was amazing, comfortable and cosy. Everything we expected and more. We lucked out with some lovely sunny weather for the end of October, lovely area with lots to see and do for all ages. Thank you Gail for all your pre- planning it was very helpful. "

"Stayed fir 3 nights. With 10 adults. Lovley big house. Plently of room Comfortable beds. Some paintwork a.bit.shabby which was a shame. Only down side was it stated a clockroom i thought that.meant a downstairs toilet but it was just a place eto hang coats. This was difficult as some of the party was eldery and found the stairs difficult to navigate, butmon the whole we had a great.time."

Simon and Audrey were the perfect hosts and provided aus with a clean and comfy accommodation. The facilities and the layout of the rooms in the cottage was ideal for our requirements. "An ordinary looking property but great inside, tastefully done with everything you need, apart from milk for my cup of tea on arrival. Also had to search through the mugs to find ones which weren’t tea stained but a small negative as it was a good, pleasant place to stay. Lovely to sit in the garden and hear the birds singing. My main focus was to visit Holy Island and the causeway is just down the road. Bamburgh and Berwick also good places to visit. Communication/instructions all excellent."

"The property was in a great location for us and plenty of space inside to be comfy. There was a few little issues, the kettle needs replacing, didnt boil water before clicking off and the cleaning needs improving. 1st mug we used had dry soup in it, few cobwebs around and generally dirty around the floor and cupboards especially in the bathrooms. Shower heads full of limescale too. But as we were out most of the time it didnt affect us. Check in and out was simple if not q little early."

"The property is a beautiful historic home with fun trap doors and hiding places from the original owner's tea smuggling days. It has a wonderful open living and dining area with an expansive view of the town of Eyemouth. We had easy access to restaurants in town (we watched the fresh fish delivered daily), scenic hiking trails and the golf course on the hill behind the house. We also spent a day surfing in Coldingham Bay only a stone's through away. The first floor of the property is often used...

"The house is very comfortable. It is in a quiet neighbourhood close to the ocean. Lots of room, lots of dishes etc.If I could make a few suggestions, they would be: more kitchen towels( one for 5 people is not enough) a drying rack for clothes as there is a washer but no dryer. As well, the pots that have non stick coating need to be replaced as the coating is peeling. Rail service to Edinburgh is very reliable and fast. It is a great place to stay if you are visiting the Edinburgh area. Just...

"We three over 65 year olds wanted a quiet New Year celebration near the seaside. The chalet was perfect for us. Beautiful views over Belhaven Bay, ideal location for dog walking and very handy for Dunbar town. The chalet was well equipped, beds were comfortable and warm and cosy. "

Fantastic stay

"Fantastic wee inn, very comfortable, clean, warm rooms with big beds and great shower room/toilet. We arrived very late so didn’t get to enjoy the pub but it looks very cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and lots of choices. Host was brilliant, accommodating us arriving late and cooking our delicious breakfast. I hope we have need to come back!"

"Had a lovely, pleasant stay at Marshall Meadows Manor House. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bedroom was a good size and very clean albeit for a few cobwebs in the corners but a very small criticism. Amazing scenery around and so close to local amenities in Berwick. The breakfast that was included with the room was delicious and a good variety of food to choose from. Get a table next to a window if you can for lovely views of the coast with your breakfast. Would absolutely stay here again."
