"Our group of 10 enjoyed our stay in Penafiel. The property is beautiful - gorgeous sunset, nice pool and a friendly neighbourhood cat. The kitchen has everything that one would need, although it could use a larger kitchen sink! We loved the outdoor bbq and pizza oven. The owner communicated well with us. We highly recommend taking the owner up on the offer to have the Portuguese cook to whip up some excellent Portuguese fare. "

"Somewhat lacking in contents ,ie only 1 3 seat sofa. No ketle, The owner didnt visit during our stay. He was next door neibour. The area is magnificent and i would likely visit again."

"Arrivés la nuit sous la pluie, avec comme adresse le code qui permet d'ouvrir une boite contenant les clefs. Enfin, après trois heures de recherches, grâce aux locaux rencontrés, nous avons enfin trouvé la maison et la personne qui devait nous accueillir. Lits inconfortables, pas de couverture, télé qui ne fonctionne pas etc.. Nous avons tenté de contacter l'agence soit par téléphone, (numéros fournis par Abritel)soit par mail, aucune réponse, nous étions livrés à nous mêmes, ce n'est vraiment...

"Our stay was made especially pleasant by the helpfulness and friendliness of the owner. He could not have been better. Because it was an old stone house the availability of electrical outlets for charging phones etc and for appliances was very limited. Perhaps the charm of an old house. The swimming pool was a wonderful attraction on hot days."

"Petite pause sur le retour vers la France. Site et région magnifique. La vue du bord de la piscine est tres relaxante. La situation est idéale pour les amateur d'activité fluviale et de vin. Les hôtes sont tres sympas, anglais et portugais parlé. Accueilli avec un plateau apéritif et du vin de la region et petit dejeuner copieux offert le lendemain. Je recommande vivement. Encore merci."
