"We arrived excited about our stay to open the door to piles of dirty laundry. The couch was patched together with tape, the toilet was covered in hair, the floor was sticky in the kitchen, the bathmat was dirty with grime and what might have been dog poop. The bathroom had not been swept or wiped down and was covered in dust, hair, and dirt. There were 2 packages of moldy food in the fridge. The blankets had not been washed. "The area was super quiet and pitch black at night. The tent was cute and perfect size. We however did not end up staying. It was super smokey, when I opened the stove to add wood even more smoke poured from it. Being from eastern Kentucky those are what we had and they shouldn't do that, so I'm thinking the pipe was getting clogged. If not for that it would have been super cozy."

"We 5 72 year old ladies had a great time. We went wine tasting, played cards, games and just talked and laughed. The house was very nice. The water had a horrible smell. There was a water cooler but the jug was empty. The lights were on the ceiling far away from the floor. Hard to read anything. The lamps in the bedrooms didn’t work. But nothing stopped us from having a great time. "

"In town for our granddaughter’s first birthday party. There were several out of towners staying with our daughter and son-in-law for the party, so we booked a space at the Hruby Doobie Ranch. We knew it with be cool from the photos on the VRBO site, but the pictures did not do it justice! The ranch was a wonderful, peaceful, cozy, unique space! "My family joined me for a wonderful trip to Brightstone. We fell in love. Our hosts were phenomenal and so helpful. Any questions we had were answered quickly and they are very helpful. The house contained everything we needed. The photos of the listing are accurate but photos do not do justice to the setting. The beautiful lake is amazing. The hiking trails were fun for the grandkids and we saw wild turkeys and other critters. We are planning a return trip next summer and cannot wait...
