"House was great! We wanted to stay longer! The only issue was the water - some of our group are not used to septic. (I’m a country girl and I had no issue with it though) Lots of space so we could all be separate or together depending on what we were doing. And the only other thing was decks could have been cleaner. Would stay here again."

"This is our third time staying at this property and we already booked a weekend for next year. Heidi's house is great for 3 families, each with their own restroom and bedrooms to accommodate multiple kids. We swam in the lake, and hot tub - walked to the amusement park, it was great! The swing set is really for younger kids - so just keep that in mind, but it didn't matter to us because there was so many other things to do!"

"The location was perfect for our events that we attended and ended up being right down the road from everything we did. The older house was very well kept up and we would have enjoyed more time there but our trip got cut short for other reasons. The communication by the owners was quick and very responsive and they were flexible with our adjusted schedule. The walk down to the dock was fun and standing there watching the river flow by was very relaxing."

"Rave reviews for this property! My wife & I, along with our teen daughter and 2 of her friends, visited over a long Fall weekend. The house is fantastic - very nicely updated, extremely well appointed with anything we needed (well-stocked kitchen w/ coffee, plenty of linens/towels, comfortable beds & furniture, etc), awesome layout allowing the girls to have a separate living area downstairs to hang out while my wife and I were on the main level w/ our dogs (pet-friendly… huge plus!). Outdoors...

"The area was super quiet and pitch black at night. The tent was cute and perfect size. We however did not end up staying. It was super smokey, when I opened the stove to add wood even more smoke poured from it. Being from eastern Kentucky those are what we had and they shouldn't do that, so I'm thinking the pipe was getting clogged. If not for that it would have been super cozy."

"The property is secluded but still close to town conveniences. Very pretty and surprisingly clean. Loved the pavilion and the lights at night. Some of the listing details and pics need to be updated but overall the apartment and property was a unique and comfortable stay, that provided just the right environment for my adult kids with their loved ones and I to gather and grill for the holiday. The portable air unit keeps the downstairs liveable during a 90° day but the upstairs as you'd expect...

"House was immaculate with lots of nice touches like cucumber water in the kitchen, bottled water in the fridge, ingredients for s’mores. Only negative is this is not for anyone over about 6’1”. Kitchen has low ceiling and we cooked dinner every night. Top of my head looks like hamburger. "

"Our family had a nice weekend in the Glass Porch Cottage on Lake Freeman. The home is lovely and was well equipped. We particularly loved the glass lanai with the wicker furniture. It gave us the "Golden Girls" vibes. The neighborhood was very quiet and we thoroughly recommend this VRBO property."

"My family joined me for a wonderful trip to Brightstone. We fell in love. Our hosts were phenomenal and so helpful. Any questions we had were answered quickly and they are very helpful. The house contained everything we needed. The photos of the listing are accurate but photos do not do justice to the setting. The beautiful lake is amazing. The hiking trails were fun for the grandkids and we saw wild turkeys and other critters. We are planning a return trip next summer and cannot wait...
