"The unit was a great layout, good location, had everything we needed. However unfortunately there was a strong musty smell when we first entered & lingered the whole time. Whenever the place was closed up for a few hours, when we re-entered it was really strong again. Quite disappointing "

"Well appointed apartment and stocked with everything we needed. Mandy was very communicative and helpful. Apt balcony looks out at beautiful blue lake and snow capped mountains. We liked the location as we spent time in Otogo wine country and away from crowds of Queenstown (but just a short drive to town). Only downside, are several stairs. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you Mandy! "Amazing cottage in the middle of the vineyard, with lots of sweet details, very tasteful! Would come back anytime, we enjoyed every minute, thanks again and take care xxx"

"Everything about this property makes you feel calm and relaxed. A perfect spot for a getaway. The views are amazing, it is warm & cosy & has a lovely indoor/outdoor flow. Then to top it off....a fabulous spa pool to unwind in. The communication from our host Brad was exceptional. We will certainly be recommending Firkin's Retreat to friends & family."
