"Conveniently located in Selfoss. On check in receptionist was very friendly. When asked, she told us how to sign for complementary parking. She mentioned we could go and have a look at the spa and if we wanted to go could comeback and pay. Then I mentioned I thought one trip to the spa was included in our stay. She checked and gave us our robe and towel. Room was a reasonable size with bath/shower, toilet and sink including soap/shower gel. Lovely view of river and bridge into Selfoss. In room - Kettle with cups including tea and coffee. Fridge, safe and Tv. Spa was very relaxing, hot water bath area with relaxing lights, cold water bath, steam room sauna and places to relax. Would have been a pleasure to have more time there to relax. Breakfast good selection, hot and cold food, breads, toaster. Drinks- juices, tea coffee, water, milk. Good layout so even though it was busy it did not appear to be too crowded Very pleasant stay, would certainly recommend. "

"We loved our stay at Loa’s Nest! Only a short drive from the Golden Circle, this place was a great spot to escape the tourists and see more of the quiet Icelandic countryside. Rooms were spacious and quiet. Staff were lovely, greeting us with homemade waffles for breakfast in the morning. This was our first stop on our ring road tour and we would highly recommend to anyone passing through. "

"Family of six from Boston, stayed for 2 nights during Spring Break (April 2025). We stayed in the cottage which was very comfortable. There are plenty of beds for us six, and we got to see northern lights in the first night! Overall an amazing stay and would definitely go back again! The hotel has couple Border Collies on site who are super friendly. We enjoyed petting them :) A few things that could’ve made the stay over-the-top awesome: 1) microwave in the room, 2) on-site or in-room washer/dryer, 3) more food selection for the breakfast buffet. But these aren’t deal breakers for us. We enjoyed the stay a lot without them."

"Great night in the igloo. We only stayed one night and we had the BEST show of the northern lights. Overall great time. Not sure if I would have stayed more nights just due to the small area of the igloo and the non private bathroom /showers. But it was great for one night. Must do "

"Our one night stay at Landhotel was wonderful. From the moment we arrived everyone was super friendly and helpful. We stayed in April so the place was quiet and peaceful. The hotel feels very new and modern and is set away from all other ambient light sources, making it an ideal location for Northern Lights viewing. They took time to explain the amenities and dinner options. Our daughters have Celiac (gluten free) and they were great with food options for both dinner and breakfast including offering gluten free bread. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of options. We also went to bed with low expectations for northern lights options, but they called to wake us when the skies luckily cleared. What truly set our stay apart though, was how much the hotel helped with our car trouble. We had accidentally put the wrong gas in our car, causing it to not start in the morning. They had someone with mechanic experience who drained the tank, while another colleague drove to the nearest gas station (15 minutes away) to get us the right gas so we could get back to town. Saved us hundreds of dollars and the hours we would have had to wait to use the car rental service's roadside assistance. Truly a memorable stay and quite reasonable compared to other options in the area. "
