"I have stayed in 20+ hotels in Iceland. This guesthouse is a shining beacon above every place I have stayed in Iceland, Scotland, England and Germany. I liked this guesthouse so much, that I changed my business plans so I could stay an extra night. I couldn’t bring myself to stay in another generic hotel further North in the city. Only a couple of miles off the main highway, it’s worth the journey. The peace of the location allowed me to sleep calmly for the first time in days. The owners are truly delightful human beings and they give the feeling of coming home to family after a hard days trekking across the countryside "

"Staying at The Garage in Iceland was absolutely amazing! The place was perfect—immaculately clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. The host was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (the cookies were such a sweet touch!). The views were out of this world—breathtaking mountains, waterfalls, and stunning Icelandic landscapes right outside the window. It was the perfect base for exploring the area, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Iceland. It’s a true gem!"
