"Great views of Lake Atitlan from our balcony! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Included breakfast was delicious and though we didn't eat dinner here, heard from other guests that it was great. Property was a short tuk-tuk ride from Panajachel. They also provided local recommendations for food, tours, sight seeing and even a local tuk-tuk driver which we could message through Whatsapp that made it quick and easy to get a ride when needed. "

"If you like staying in historical properties with period furnishings, yet with all modern amenities, this is the place for you! It's great to see how the wealthy lived in the colonial era. Front desk employees were super helpful and spoke English. The included breakfast was delicious and served in a historical room with a view. We received drink vouchers, but did not know they had to be used on arrival day before 7pm. Consider calling to ask for rooms with windows facing the back of the property, which is a green space, instead of the rooms facing the streets. "

"Absolutely love Casa Palopo and so glad we decided to stay here during our trip to Lake Atitlan!! The views are amazing and the service and kindness the staff showed us was outstanding. They staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We had NO issues with communication or hot water in our rooms. So I'm really surprised by the other reviews left. The restaurant in the hotel was lovely and they were happy to accommodate to my food allergies with no problems!!! We found the location we'll worth the views of the lake and Volcanos. And easy walk to Satana Catarina, a beautiful local village. Easy Tuk tuk transport to get to Panajachel for more restaurants, shopping and transport by boat to other towns across the lake. I highly recommend this boutique hotel!!"

"The hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We had issues with the internet connection in our room the first two days, but they got it rectified. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay there again if we go to Panajachel. "

"The view was beautifully from every corner of the property. I would definitely recommend. We arrived a lil late, so the restaurant was closed. We were given an option to order room service, but were then told the kitchen was actually closed. The good thing is that the rest of the town was a short drive & we were able to easily eat outside of the hotel. We also requested a boat service from a near by town. We had to pay a dock fee. Everything else was amazing. "

"Not luxurious but basic and clean…and with screens on windows. We LOVED the onsite thermal pools and the staff was wonderful, always smiling and polite."
