"Host (James) was really nice and welcoming. I had a single room with its own bathroom which was perfect and clean - it had everything - tv, shower sink and toilet - a small built in wardrobe to hang clothes, a desk and chair and a bed with a bedside table. There was a good selection of teas and coffees and was given fresh milk for the room on arrival. Location was a short 10-15 minute walk into the city centre and its even closer to the seafront (hoe). Breakfast options were delicious and both adults and children enjoyed the menu options. Room was spacious and the ‘zed’ beds were fine for children. "Check in was very easy. Our room was upgraded to a suite which was amazing. The person at the front desk walked me to the room to show me which keys opened which doors and made sure we were happy with the room. It was definitely above and beyond. The building was older, but it’s England and it was to be expected. The room was clean and bright and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed a wonderful breakfast the next morning. Would definitely recommend. "

"Front desk were helpful and friendly. We paid for a superior double. The room was really drab and had strange twin headboards mounted on the wall that didn’t sit over the bed. When we complained we were moved to a better room promptly. The hotel is def outdated and a bit rundown but the staff were pleasant and the room was clean. The plug socket blew out and killed our phone charger. We probably wouldn’t stay again. "
