I booked this hotel online because I thought I would be able to walk to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Not possible. There is a six-lane highway between the hotel and GEM, with no pedestrian overpass. "The service here is really good! They arranged airport pick up and drop off for us, had local suggestions for food and tours. Their English was good and they were very friendly. The morning breakfast was very good, we are two active brothers and it filled us up, which is not easy to do. All the staff were very honest and helpful. The room to clean and comfortable."

"Doesn’t look like much from the outside, and the lower levels/elevator are somewhat sketchy, but the rooms themselves, and the rooftop patio were very nice. Good location, walking distance from the pyramids, and a good view of them from the rooms with balconies as well as from the roof. Food and beers were overpriced, and do NOT use them to book a cab… a taxi from the airport cost less than $20, but the hotel wanted $130 for the return trip! All in all, I would stay again."

"I'm so glad I booked this hotel. From the minute I checked-in I felt at home. The owner and all the staff members made me feel utterly at home. I had an unfortunate accident whilst walking the streets of Cairo where wet concrete fell on me. When I got back to the hotel the owner offered straight away to wash my clothes, he didn't even charge me. The hospitality is something else here! highly recommend, such nice people! "

Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at First Residence

"The property was very secured and well maintained. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. Every request we had they were able to please us. The buffet breakfast was very delicious and had plenty of variety food selection. The transportation to the hotel and back to the airport was great, drivers were friendly and would give us a mini tour during the ride. Highly recommended. Will definitely consider coming back. "

"We had the suite with pyramids view and that was amazing. You would wake up looking right at the pyramids and literally as close as you can get. The lower pyramid entrance is just 100 meters, we just walked. The roof top terrace also has stunning views, we spend half of our days just drinking tea and looking at the sunset and the pyramids. The hotel is very clean and our suite, which consisted of one very large room, was quite comfortable. The surrounding area is as one has to expect in Gizeh, chaotic but safe, at least during the day but we anyway just walked to the entrance of the pyramids."
