"Clean and service was great. Did not like the shower/toilet set up especially when sharing a twin bed with someone else. Otherwise the place is ex Ellen’s if you plan to eat at Welcome Seafood Restaurant. "

"The Borneo Eagle is an exclusive five star hotel - newly launched. The staff are excellent, facilities good - the only issue we had was the plethora of sand flies which caused a lot of issues sitting outside. We talked to the Manager about this and understand a machine is being shipped to deal with this issue - also the beach on the offside of the hotel was covered with plastic bottles and rubbish, which should be cleared on a daily basis to support the high quality nature of the hotel."

All they could tell me is that they’d launch an investigation so this is currently ongoing. With nowhere to stay, torrential rain outside and my phone battery running low, I booked another hotel"
