Inspect the kitchen utensils, the water filter is leaking, the dish soup is non-existent, the drying rack left in the kitchen cupboard to house insects, the living room sofa leather was teared apart. The amenities advertised includes water bottles, but when asked for it from the staff on site, it’s not provided as complimentary. "Very basic but excellent location v near NP entrance, and kind hosts. Wifi was pretty good when switched on. Restaurant opposite park entrance offered breakfast from 6.30. My room was rather tired with barely functioning plumbing, but perfectly adequate considering the location benefit."

"We stayed here for one night while exploring the local area. Overall the experience was good, the room was comfortable and the location is convenient. But this is a very basic accommodation, and the bathroom was in need of some repair. The owner and family were very helpful and accommodating, and in general the people in this area are very nice. This is a great location for views of Mt Kinabalu, and for local hikes, and also for visiting the Desa Dairy Farm."

"Not a nice experience to only found out that there is a cleaning fee compulsory to be paid separately after checked in. It felt like a trap. The fee should be clearly indicated or included in the final price when making payment. "

"The holiday home is located in the hill. It is quite spacious and reasonably maintained. However as it is in the hill insects are an inevitable sight (ants, mosquitoes, etc.) esp in open areas, but it's tolerable inside the house. Service was good, as a large group we really enjoyed ourselves gathering in the living room area. However, it's relatively inaccessible (taking taxi from town centre to the holiday home costs around RM15-25, and a lot of taxi drivers do not know the place so I'd...

"Location was great- right in center of town. Room and bathroom was not clean and smelled like mildew. Very poor ventilation in my room which did not have a window. I saw black mildew on the ceiling of both the room and the bathroom. Sheets had yellow stains and bed was old. I did not feel comfortable staying in the room because of the mildew, smell and how unclean it is. Wifi was super fast. Staff were very nice. "
