"This is a lovely property. It was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace and sitting out on the deck looking at the pond. We choose this place because it was very close to the entrance to Acadia National Park. Beautiful views and quiet!"

"This is a beautiful house with comfortable bedrooms and a nice open living and dining area for meals and hanging out. It is equipped with everything you need. We visited in winter so did not use the amazing upstairs deck but did get to enjoy the cozy wood stove, which was perfect after our rather rainy hike.We were a group of 8 hiking the Cadillac trail to see the first light of 2025. This location could not have been more convenient with the trail just a 3-minute walk away."

Between hiking in the Schoodic Peninsula, visiting Bar Harbor, and soaking up the view from Cadillac Mountain, we loved swinging on the porch swing, having coffee on the front porch, and relaxing around the dinner table. "Perfect location and beautiful house. We are a family of 10 adults and had plenty of room. The park is fun to visit though parking can be challenging. The same with Bar Harbor, great town but difficult to park. I’d recommend this home and location for a Fall getaway. Foliage was amazing. The kitchen was very well appointed with modern cookware and plenty of dishes, etc. The bedrooms were quiet and very comfortable. Bonus; we has an awesome viewing of the Northern Lights! The property manager was very responsive to questions as well. I would definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area!"

"Our family (12 of us) stayed for a long weekend for the MDI marathon. The house was perfect, had everything we needed and was more than enough space for all of us. The house is in a great location, walkable to downtown Bar Harbor and was a great spot for our marathon weekend. Charles and Ali were very responsive when we were having some issues with the smoke detector as well. We would absolutely recommend this home! "

"This house was wonderful! Clean, easy to find on GPS, even in the dark when we arrived and a very quiet location. The view was beautiful. We saw deer in the backyard and across the lake. We utilized the fire pit on a cool night and enjoyed s’mores with our family. The small touches were thoughtful-mini bottles of shampoo & conditioner, mini bars of soap, coffee available for the coffee maker. Beds were comfortable as well. If we’re ever back in this area, I would definitely stay here again. "

"We stayed for several nights and enjoyed our time here. The interior is quite big and there is a lot of open space. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed using the popcorn popper as well. Even though there is no forced air heating or cooling, we felt quite comfortable, even with the outside temperature ranging from 40s to 80s. "We had 4 adults and on 4-year old. The house and bedrooms were perfect for our group. It gave us a good base for 3 days in the area - first time on Schoodic Peninsula. Short drive to Bar Harbor for more sights, shopping and eating. Pretty crowded, but manageable. We would do it again! "

"Overall really pleasant stay. We loved the fireplace tucked into the woods and the ping pong table. The house and rooms are really large, but they could benefit from adding multiple beds in some of the rooms so people don’t have to sleep on couches, and minor easy updates to decor throughout the house would make this property stand out. Really good proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia. "

"This cozy little cottage had the perfect location with a gorgeous view of my favorite garden in SWH and the harbor beyond. It is a very short walk to restaurants and shops. We loved having fires in the woodstove. The kitchen was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. We definitely want to stay again!"

"This was a captivating setting. If we were to stay there for a few days, it would have been delightful. As it was, we were driving back from Acadia NP. We just weren’t prudent. We were up for indoor camping and maybe even the wood stove, but elected not to stay after arriving after dark…totally our choice. Another time, it would have been PERFECT. "

"This hotel is in the perfect location to experience Bar Harbor. It is an older hotel so the rooms are very small and the bathrooms are like closets. They offered a breakfast service, but it wasn't really a restaurant setting. Staff was superb! And, again, the location can't be beat!"

Incredible customer service that served-us!!!

"Guess what? I literally never stayed in the hotel. I didn't even breathe any of the atmosphere that was anywhere close to the hotel. Why the five stars? Because the customer service from Christopher at the front desk was the most top notch intergalactic experience from a place that I literally never stayed.. For circumstances beyond anyone's ability to control, my friend and I had to turn around before we even reached Bar Harbor. I spoke to Christopher about our plight and the way he handled everything was nothing short then some kind of a Greg Luganis super dive. Perfect 10! Not only was he kind, reasonable and treated me like his favorite cast member in The facts of Life, he gave us great advice for which we were deeply appreciative. I will be visiting Acadia National Park at some point as my schedule permits and all the reels on Insta couldn't distract me away from staying where Christopher and his lovely manager works. Ku-flippin-do's Bar Harbor Inn! My absolutely favorite place I've never stayed."
