"Definitely a step above for the area. You can tell they focus on service and above average food and amenities. I liked the location a lot and having the beach/bay right there as well as dive shop next door was very convenient. One thing that was frustrating was there were no hooks to be found in the room! Not even the bathroom. This makes finding places to hang towels and other items (especially w family of 4) frustrating. Also minimal to no storage and only one luggage rack. Had to live “out of suitcase” all week. For such an upscale property this is a notable and poorly managed portion of a guest’s stay. Regardless I would stay there again for all of the other reasons. Kudos to the entire team for their devotion and hospitality! "

"The staff was incredibly kind. I loved the property. We stayed in Villa 3. The villa really needs some updates. The toilet seat was stained which is kind of gross. I hope they update soon "

"This property is amazing wonderful. The staff is over the top friendly and accommodating, all with a smile. There had been a recent storm so there was some damage, no fault of staff or owners. We walked easily from the hotel to the beach and enjoyed the friendly beach vibe. HIGHLY recommend this property, it is not like a mega resort, much smaller and many times superior. The employees ( retesting intentionally) are wonderful, enhancing our stay. Everytime we asked for help they handled immediately, I never felt that I was creating an inconvenience. I also recommend communicating in advance by email with Jane. She KNOWS everything and is very helpful with more than just property details. "

"This is a nice hotel but this time it was not the vest experience my room had a weird smell the elevator dint work we had no hot water we had to keep calling in till maintenance came to fix it "

"We had a absolutely wonderful time here and all the staff were amazing. I truly felt as if we were family as they treated us like that. Everyone was very helpful throughout our stay. It was a great end of our 2 week trip. I highly recommend Puerta Azul and look forward to our return."

"We spent a week in the Sunset View 2. It was unseasonably rainy but the big balcony looking right at the sea framed by swaying palms made it hard to leave to go do other things in Roatan. Blue Bahia is a charming, small resort with a dive shop and beach grill. It almost feels like a tiny village. We ate breakfasts and several lunches and dinners at the grill, walked to a fine dining restaurant a few times just down the beach, and to an excellent spa also practically next door. We were a 5 minute drive from West End and only a few more to West Bay. You can kayak out to the reef straight ahead and snorkel. The weather didn’t really cooperate with us to do that until we were leaving but next time for sure."
