"Very convenient for travel from England to Scotland. One issue. We are both disabled and of the 4 disabled bays one blue badge was displayed. The other bays were taken up by work vans.......unacceptable!!!!"

Plenty of parking, a well appointed room with a good selection of TV channels, good WiFi, decent bed and a large selection of different options for breakfast. Service was a highlight with genuine friendliness from all staff. "

"Old hotel, creeky floor boards but to be expected. Lots of nice historical features too but clean and updated. So handy for shopping and places to eat, but the hotel menu looked very good and fair priced. We went to music venu 2 minutes walk away in the evening. Quiet at night even with our bed room facing the main square. Would stay again"

"Excellent room. I stayed one night on my way down South. My room was up in the attic with an on-suite. It was nicely heated, clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom had good water pressure and was very clean. Breakfast was great. 👍 The location was very convenient, just a short walk to shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Lovely cobblestone street and houses surrounding. Parking was just fine, I just parked in the street and upon checkin I was given a parking permit to put in the window. Last my host was lovely and likewise the staff at breakfast. "
