"We chose this property for a layover between flights without knowing anything about the Azores. We were pleasantly surpised with the luxurious hotel right in the old town and close to the beach.We also had an excellent dinner in their restaurant (tune and swordfish) and the included breakfast was excellent."

"We stayed for just 4 days... we came in early.. 8am but luckily our room was empty and they let us check in which was fantastic. It was very quiet.. fantastic walking paths right out the door along the cliffs. Great views... it rained one morning so we took advantage of the spa, gym and pool.. then the sun came out and we were off! Only 20 minutes to the city by cab.. the front desk helped us out alot! Very friendly and pleasant."

"This hotel is an amazing place with a world class Botanical Garden attached and beautiful thermal baths throughout, guests have 24 hour access to both. They have an indoor pool steam and dry sauna. The staff is very well trained and for the most part local. Everything for the client! The restaurant is 4 star and the breakfast extensive and delicious. We came to have lunch 6 months ago and vowed to come stay the next time we flew to Portugal. Well worth the trip and it will not be our last. "
