"I liked Vanessa, the front desk girl I checked in with. But this hotel cost me a lot more than it should have, even with Carnaval going on. The rock hard bed and pillow caused issues with my back, shoulders, neck and jaw. The door doesn't lock from the inside from what I saw. It was quieter than other places I stayed in and in a good location though. The AC system doesn't work properly, so my room was either too hot or too cold (when it was on)"

"AVOID! This place was an absolute nightmare! Ants, roaches, and bedbugs all over the place! When I arrived, the place was unclean from the last guest and the hotel did not care. There is no front desk. BEWARE: It is in the favela and very dangerous even during the day! The pictures are deceptive. I left before my booking ended. You could not pay me to stay here again! "

"Good location. Walking distance to a few supermarkets. About 2 minutes walk to a really nice beach. On a bus route. Breakfast was a nice selection of hot and cold and opened at 6:00 until 10:00. Be aware the bottled water in the room is not free. Construction meant there were some disruptions. Also, the slow-close doors need to be adjusted to avoid the disruptive slamming that occurs at late and early hours. "
