"Very convenient location, but parking can be tricky- especially at peak times. Big plus- dog friendly The hotel is quite dated inside. We did not eat there, we ate out. A great base if you like being out and about. Our room was close to the lift so early morning and late in the evening, we could hear the comings and goings. Tv and hairdryer in the room a bonus Overall, good value for money. "

"We loved our stay at Fistral Beach Hotel & Spa. Loved being able to use the spa facilities and the room was modern and cosy with a selection of teas, coffees and shortbread. The hotel is good walking distance into Newquay town and the route via the golf course is lovely. The restaurant offers great views of Fistral Beach. "We had a one night stay at the Harbour Hotel (St Ives) as a couple in a sea view room. We had a nice stay on the whole. The Spa with swimming pool was a lovely addition that also included a jacuzzi. "Stayed here between Christmas and New Year for 2 nights. Great position next to the water, we didn't have a river view but still got to enjoy this view over breakfast and in the bar area. Our 4 year old was very happy with the games room. The breakfast was really tasty and the staff were really friendly and helpful. "

"I enjoyed my brief stay at St Mellion’s. The staff were welcoming and the hotel was clean and tastefully decorated for the festive period. The bed was huge and the bathroom had plenty of towels and handwash/shower gel etc. Although there weren’t many gluten free options on the restaurant menu, the staff were helpful and made me a GF steak and chips which was perfectly cooked. The cooked breakfast was all GF and a very generous portion. I would definitely stay again. "

Service was good, staff very efficient, parking OK. "Lots of instruction from the owner on how to get in and maintain the property etc. Property is very spacious and well maintained and has a beautiful view. Excellent communication from the owner too. Maybe would have liked to see some basics supplied such as tea and long life milk. Also as a tall person i hit my head on light fittings a few times, as well as the angled walls. "We loved our stay at Fistral Beach Hotel & Spa. Loved being able to use the spa facilities and the room was modern and cosy with a selection of teas, coffees and shortbread. The hotel is good walking distance into Newquay town and the route via the golf course is lovely. The restaurant offers great views of Fistral Beach. They have a cute photo booth just by the elevator which was a nice touch. Only thing I would say is the heating was whacked up for winter so the room was boiling but luckily there was a fan in the wardrobe! Parking for over 24hrs wasn’t an issue for us on the main road in front of the hotel, but you may have more difficulty during peak season months. "

"The hotel sits in about the best location in Newquay, overlooking the town and the sea. The hotel itself is an imposing older building and is absolutely gorgeous inside, the room I had was a great size with a very comfortable bed. All the staff are very friendly and amazing with nothing too much trouble for them to sort out. This is the first time I've stayed here but it won't be the last."
