"Puerta Azul is a unique small and quiet hotel. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The food is delicious and it is prepared fresh every day. Our room was number 4 very close to the beach and was very clean and beautiful. The owners and all their staff specially Julie are very nice and courteous. My husband and I had an incredible stay in this charming hotel and we will hope to come back next year. "

"I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Big Rock! From the start communication was easy and fast. We were met at Kristi’s to guide us to the property the first time. Pulling up we were blown away! The pictures do not do it justice! The view, the beach, the pool… everything was perfection! We traveled with our family of 4 (kids 5&7) and another family of 4 (kids 12&9) there was enough space for us to feel connected but have private space. The snorkeling right off the dock was the best...

"The only problem we experienced in this glorious place is that we didn't stay long enough. Sandra and Al (and assorted critters -- love them all!) are the perfect hosts; generous and helpful, friendly and available, yet respectful of privacy. The property itself is just amazing! We didn't want to leave those beautiful sunsets, the quiet of a private beach, the farm-like feel of the fruit and nut trees, etc. I'd give this a 10 of 10, easily, and recommend a long stay here for any travelers...
