"Staff were very attentive and friendly. The hotel was very clean. I liked the mini-bar was topped up each day for free. The room walls are a bit thin and you can hear next door quite easily. They do supply ear plugs which helps."

I hadn’t expected my room to be serviced everyday so to return and find my bed made, towels folded ect was a bonus. Excellent experience all round. I am considering visiting the Island with my wife in the future and will definitely be booking my stay at the Empress."

"The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to restaurants and just a 5 minute drive from the ferry port. The hotel car park charge is reasonable but having to pay every day rather than a single payment to cover the stay is a bit of a nuisance. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was was good with a wide choice of hot and cold items. The bedroom was a good size and the balcony overlooking the atrium provided a pleasant place to sit. The only extra we would have liked is a few more hangers in the wardrobe. The four provided didn't quite do it."
