"Hotel was very clean and quiet. The "downtown" area is walking distance from the hotel but unfortunately there wasn't much there and what was there wasn't open. We were there in June, maybe shops are mostly open during the school year, not sure. Very happy with the hotel though."

"Our room was not available on arrival. I was initially stressed, but the front desk was very polite and helpful. He gave us a better upgrade for our troubles. The pool was closed for maintenance which seems to happen a lot at Marshfield hotels, so it wasnt surprising. All staff was fantastic to us. "It's a older, renovated, no frills hotel like Motel 6 etc. It does a have a pool which I didn't bother to check out. It is kept clean and not a bad place to stay. "Property is in a good location, but noisy with trains near by. Also, the house is more of a duplex feel, the owners live on the bottom and the top is rented out. The owner was there to greet us, but difficult to get a hold of prior. The house was clean, but def worn down. The house also smelt like smoke in the living room, which was unfortunate. Overall, okay (safe) property if you need a place to crash. "
