"Friendly staff, especially after a few days in the hotel. Great advice for restaurants. Very clean and excellent location. Incredible views and hikes just outside of the hotel. Dining options around holidays were limited and service was lacking. Perhaps it was due to holidays, but the special dinner was expensive and really did not match our expectations, or depart far from breakfast (which is quite nice). Excellent spa and a good value massages."

"Great hotel right in the centre of the town. Sophia was a great help at the desk too with getting us reservations and calling us cabs. The hot tub and sauna was by reservation which was nice so you get it all to yourself. And theres a nice cafe and bar across the way from the hotel so you can get a close final drink for the night."

"Since I was benefitted from reading others’ comments, want to document my experience in case it is helpful for anyone in future. First, the most positive is the location. To south, it takes 10 minutes to walk to waterfront/downtime. To north, walk less 10 minutes for gas station and a large shopping complex in which you may find food court, grocery store, etc. During peak season, probably convenient to walk around instead driving and trying to find a parking spot. "We arrived late, but early for us with the time zone change. After check in we had a drink at the lively bar, Saturday night and the crowd was fun. We were not able to use all of the hotel amenities offered. Breakfast buffet was substantial, fueling us for our first day on Sao Miguel. We walked to the Pineapple Plantation which is nearby. Would gladly stay again. "
