"This was an amazing overnight stay! So much better than we were expecting to enjoy it. The lions, all 4, were in front of our window for almost the entire stay, both in the afternoon/night and again in the morning before leaving. To have them lounging, playing, sleeping, grooming right in front of the window with literally your hand separating them from you by plexiglass is unforgettable. "We recently stayed here to attend a Syracuse football game. Check in was simple and the instructions came the day before via text. The place had enough space for the 5 of us. Beds were quite uncomfortable. The window AC units caused it to be very loud at night as you could hear outside noises quite clearly. Neighbourhood was not the best but we did not feel unsafe. "Pleasant cottage, AC was very comfortable. We enjoyed the paddle board, kayaks, yard games, floating deck and fire pit. Extreme care is needed with steep, narrow lakefront stairs. We loved historic downtown, highly recommend Harriet Tubman Museum in Auburn & Erie Canal Museum in Syracuse. The gravel lane to home was partially washed out, narrow & very steep, needs new gravel, grading & crowning which is responsibility of all homeowners on lane, all or 4-wheel drive is recommended. "We used Lola’s getaway for a visit to see our son at SU. The house was well appointed and incredibly cozy. We visited in the winter with snow on the ground and the house was very warm and welcoming. Although there were only four of us that stayed at the house there was plenty of room to have 5 additional kiddos visit for a home cooked meal while in college. We hope to use the house again for another visit. "
