"Jane was a fantastic host. The location was perfect for us - a real neighbourhood, but all of the major shopping and tourist sites within walking distance. We were delighted to find a basket with an assortment of local foods and wine waiting for us, which was sooooo welcome when we first arrived, jet-lagged and unready to face shopping. "The service was terrible: no hot water, not sufficient sheets for the number of beds…construction workers showing up at 8:00 am to work in the unit…of course, because there were broken things in the washroom and even holes in the walls…and the check-in process was a nightmare ( multiple calls and messages without response…). When we booked this place we assumed it was a hotel, it is not. We have been staying in hotels in several italian cities and this place was the worst by far."
