Our host Eveline was lovely and on the first night gave us lots of information about the island, she also helped to organise boat hire for us. Fruit and vegetables that they were growing were freely available and the many dogs and other animals on site provided other produce and great entertainment. Car hire is a must here as the property is a fair way from any amenities. We were there in August and the villa was cooler than outside but...

"De accommodatie heeft al onze verwachtingen overtroffen. Davide heette ons vriendelijk en hartelijk welkom. Het huis is zeer schoon en uitermate goed uitgerust, heeft een geweldig mooi uitzicht en diverse mooie terrassen. Het zwembad is helemaal geweldig. de woning is rustig gelegen met veel privacy maar alle bezienswaardigheden zijn goed te bereiken."

"The view from the many terraces at this home was utterly amazing. Jaw dropping. It’s a large home with two separate guest room houses - which wasn’t 100% clear when we booked it. You definitely need a car here to get to the beach or any market or restaurant. There’s a small kitchen with a dishwasher and tons of plates/glassware (in a separate room). We even found a cooler for beach picnics. There is A/C in the bedrooms (tho one didn’t work while we were there) but not in the main shared spaces....

"Ho alloggiato in questa casa per 8 notti. È molto bella e spaziosa e munita di tutto il necessario per poter alloggiare in tranquillità, senza bisogno di acquistare oggetti di prima necessità. La posizione è ottima e strategica per chi ha l’auto e desidera raggiungere spiagge e vita notturna. L’unico difetto su cui io e le mie 3 amiche vogliamo soffermarci è la signora delle pulizie: è entrata in casa 2 volte senza preavviso e senza il nostro permesso (tra l’altro, con suo figlio piccolo)....

There are nearby beaches, a convenient market and an excellent bakery minutes away. The location is also a good base for day trips to other amazing places in Northeast Sardinia. "We loved staying at Villa Carla for a week, it was in a gorgeous setting and so close to some really lovely beaches and was the perfect setting for our family to relax and enjoy each others company. The people were so friendly and Lorenzo who helped in the village so really helpful and answered any questions. We loved driving around Sardinia, you definitely need to hire a car to get anywhere, nothing is in quick walking distance but the location is great being next to Palau so we also were able...

"La villetta confina tramite due camere con un'altra proprietà, ma la privacy é garantita. Ha un portico che permette di mangiare all'aperto con una splendida vista sul mare. Gli spazi nelle camere e bagno sono un po' strettini. La doccia esterna é perfetta. La zona é ottima per raggiungere in auto le spiagge della zona."

"Most everything was great but for a busy upscale hotel no wifi except the lobby ? Time to upgrade when you’re in your room is where you need it !! Pretty tough to do anything without wifi these days!! I’m pretty sure they are making enough money to afford better wifi service "
