"Room was small but very tidy, it had everything we needed. Bed wasn’t the comfiest but ok for one night. The view was amazing, high over other houses the countryside stretched for miles. Don’t book if you don’t like heights. Unfortunately there was something making a noise all night (heating, A/C, water) I don’t know what but it sounded like a heart beat all night long and kept me awake. "Very welcoming farming couple who go out their way to make sure everything is OK. Fantastic wholesome farmhouse meals provided. Location is very remote and strongly recommend asking if you can view the old waterwheel during your stay (you'll need a torch!)"

"Had a steak in the evening it was lovely, I wasn't very impressed with the breakfast, no brown bread offered sourdough, but it just looked like a chunk of white bread, didn't eat. sausages were burnt, mushrooms, tomato and egg was nice. "

"Contrary to some reviews i have read about this establishment, we were very impressed! The staff were really lovely and very helpful, friendly and efficient. The room was clean,well appointed and quiet. We ate there both evenings of our stay and i honestly couldn't fault our meals in any way. Simply delicious and plenty of it. Breakfast was also very good and massive! We will definately be staying here again and i thouroughly,wholeheartedly reccommend it to anyone. Well done Burrator inn."

"Parking was limited to 3 narrow spaces at the rear of the guesthouse but there is the option of residents parking in a nearby street (we were given a residents parking permit). We were in an en-suite room in the basement, with use of the fridge and microwave in the basement kitchen area which was useful. There were a couple of cobwebs in the corners of the room but the shower, toilet, sink and bed were spotless. Breakfast was great, with a varied menu. The dining room was clean and welcoming....

"I could not praise the staff here more, despite my room not being available till lunch that day, they were more than happy for me to come down earlier to pick up my room key and drop off my bags before a day at university. Not only were the staff welcoming and the hospitality warm and comforting, the staff often went above and beyond to help, and were happy to engage in conversation. "Booked through Expedia, but when I arrived the accommodation it was closed down for refurbishment. Bizarrely they are refusing to give a refund, despite the fact that they have taken both my booking and money for a service that is not available"

Great Stay, will be returning.

"couldn't speak highly enough of the Moxy. Staff excellent, rooms excellent, breakfast more than acceptable and a good bar and a great breakout area where my daughter and I could chill out rather than the room. I will be returning. If they could sort out cheaper parking (£14 quid for 24 hours) somewhere close by, that's the only way it could be improved as it's a bit out of the city centre. However the staff this weekend were absolutely superb and did everything to make us feel wanted and special. We will be back"
