The photos do not do the hotel justice it's unique in a town full of modern western decorated airbnbs and all inclusive resorts with identical rooms. this hotel has personality. "The place is quite unique with its opulent colonial ambience. The property has quite a selection of 17th-19th century European and Mexican antiques. The 3 pools were clean and relaxing. "Truly a boutique hotel!!! The staff treats you like family!! For real. The location couldn’t be any better. You can walk safely in a quaint town to many restaurants snacks shops ect…. Peppe’s tacos are absolutely amazing. Al Pastor like never before!!! You can also walk maybe 10 minutes to the malecon!! So fun!!! "

"Excellent location. Wall out the door of the hotel and you are literally steps away from excellent dining and shopping, and a 5 minute walk to the beah. The neighborhood is lively and LOUD. There is music and street noise almost 24/7. If you are a light sleeper I highly recommend ear plugs. This is not a luxury hotel, if that is your thing, look elsewhere. If you want to experience Zona Romantica, then you can’t do much better than Posada de Roger."

Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive

"Wow. We stayed a couple nights here looking for a relaxing place to workout, play tennis, sit/drink by the pool, enjoy some good food - and this checked all the boxes. The people and staff here are so kind and wonderful - impressively most are bilingual and english accommodated. We loved the various dining options across both Secrets & Dreams sides - incuding the cafes that serve yummy snacks and drinks. The pools are plenty, clean, beautiful, great places to chill - and the swim up bar is so fun. Through Expedia we got a free upgrade and we couldn't be more grateful for the ocean view & waking up to the sounds of soft waves crashing. The gym is AMAZING - the tennis court was quite fun (interesting texture, immitated clay we think). Thank you for a wonderful stay, relaxing and refreshing. Beautiful luxurious property - Secrets side is calming and spa-like. We are so grateful to your kind staff for treating us so wonderfully!"

Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Great Moments - All Inclusive

"This was a great property for a group get together we had 20 people and wanted a centrally located place that had easy access to downtown Puerto Vallarta while also having a place to group up and hang out. The staff were all wonderful and kind. Loved the direct access to the beach & hearing the waves all day - very beautiful. We enjoyed the pools and various bars. The dinner options were a bit difficult with the requirement to make reservations ... or use the buffet as the only walk in option. However, it gave the opportunity to considering exploring the city a bit more for dinner which was nice. It does allow kids so would just highlight that - and if kids arent your vibe they have a nicer adult only property next door that 1 of our friends stayed and enjoyed. Great overall experience, would highly recommend!"

"Breakfast variety and quantity could be improved, but lunch is fantastic while dinner has some nice variety. Hotel room was clean, looked premium, and had everything we needed. Staff, such as the front, housekeeping, are fantastic. One waiter at the Mirador was amazing. The others are good, but we didn't feel they really listened to us like he did. Asked for ketchup, but never got it."

"Property was a little dated and hard to get reservations at the restaurants but the buffet was good always a taxi to take you where you wanna go right downtown close to shopping and restaurants in walking distance..staff very friendly has a heated pool."

"Everyone was so friendly & the breakfast food was great, as well as the rooftop patio food. So easy to get to romantic zone. Staff were super helpful. Very loud was the only downfall, but amazing otherwise! Would def visit again!"
