"Overall we enjoyed our stay at Portou House. Our room was on the top floor. There was some hanging space but not a lot of storage other than one drawer. The bed was really comfortable and toiletries and a hairdryer were peovided. The room would benefit from soundproofing as there was a bit of noise from a nearby restaurant, however this did not spoil our stay. The rooms are in a great location. We would definitely return. "

"Brilliant location. Lovely views, great apartment. One small thing, the light bulbs are a very white stark bright light,it would be nicer with a warmer bulb as it felt too bright and corporate. "My wife and I stayed for a week in this beautiful, well-appointed apartment in a great location for touring Crete. It feels like a palace with marble floors throughout and doors to the outside in every room. The view of the sea across the road from the apartment is spectacular. There is a beach and many restaurants and services within easy walking distance. Maria is an outstanding host, going above and beyond to provide for your every need. "

"The owner had over 3 weeks to reach out to me and didn’t until 2 days prior to reservation date. Two weeks later cited the age of my children was the reason for cancelling. My children are 8 and 12. Very inconvenient. Poor business practice. If their age was an issue that should have been posted on the listing."

"What an amazing hotel run by the most hard working, friendly and helpful people. All of the staff were brilliant, the hotel is super clean, with themed nights, differnt food which has so much choice. We stayed as 3 chikdren and 2 adults. We are plnat based adults which made it a little harder with not mcuh protien to eat but for a week we managed. They tried hard to accomodate but on 2 days we found it hard to be full up. We had alerted them to our food needs months before. Hotel quiet at night...

"I had torn my achilles tendon just before my stay here so accessibility was an issue to some degree. No rooms had ramps or had ground floor accessibility. Other than that, the staff were great, breakfast was fantastic. Lunch was meh, dinner was really nice at the stone restaurant. My family had rented a car so we were a short 20 min drive into old town Chania which was gorgeous. "
