"This little place was perfect for my husband & I. We were in Winston Salem meeting friends and needed a litle efficiency place for a couple of nights. Clean, comfortable bed, plenty of coffee supplied, good size refrigerator and the host was wonderful to work with. There is no stove or oven, but we weren't looking for one. Would definitely stay again!! "

Excellent communication with property owner - responded to questions within minutes. Could use a few more electrical outlets in the bedroom. But that’s to be expected in an older building. We always carry an extension cord when we travel. Would stay here again!"

"Knowing nothing about the city, I was thrilled with the location of this charming apartment. We left our town temporarily after Helene, and it was great to park the car and walk to all the coffee shops and restaurants. The host made it easy to arrive; the info and keys we needed were right where he said. The decor and arrangements are accurate reflected by the photos in the listing. We stayed a week, worked remotely, and felt pleased with the stay."

"Perfect place for us to stay. Clean, kitchen is stocked with basice kitchenware. Appliances all clean and ready to go. It is conveniently located close to downtown. Felt safe and secure. A few little problems. The TV remote batteries were all dead or the remotes didnt work so was unable to use the TV. "There is some work that needs to be done to this property. Seal on toilet needs fixed, it leaks. Because of the leak the floor has rotted underneath the linoleum and sewage seeped up. The place is furnished nicely. Once the bathroom is taken care of we would recommend it."

"Darrel reached out several days in advanced. Driveway to get back to apartment is a little tighter then I like but very doable. The place was a very pleasant surprise. More roomier then pictures appeared. Beds are firm. Close to everything in the historic downtown area. Would recommend this place."

"This property is very unique and worked great for our group of moms and daughters. It's spacious, has a well-euipped kitchen, easy parking, and is walkable to restaurants and breweries. We did have an issue with the alarm going off and no one (property owner or building owner) knew the password so that turned into a pretty big issue, but the owner was apologetic and refunded for the stress. Hopefully they have figured this out now."

"We rented this out to house overflow family for the holidays. Everybody loved it. It was spotless, comfortable, well appointed. There were games for the children, and a pub downstairs for the grownups. The pizza in the pub is first rate. Not too noisy either considering that this is a busy downtown location. Would definitely stay there again. "

"This was our third stay in the Lakota Rock Cabin. It’s very clean, it has very thing you need for cooking in, and it’s in a great location for hiking in the nearby state parks, and exploring nearby towns and communities. It’s also close to numerous wineries. We will definitely stay here again."
