"The hotel does not look very appealing from the outside (barely recognisable as a hotel) and the lack of reception and breakfast in your room is a bit odd. That said, my room was as per the photos, airy, clean and comfortable. The manager was helpful and the breakfast in the room was perfectly fine. It was all ok for me for a few nights on a work trip, but not what I would call a leisure hotel. "

"An absolutely fabulous experience from start to finish. An unexpectedly great find. More like a boutique hotel than guest house. Room was larger than expected and very well appointed. Facilities were excellent, breakfast was fantastic. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"Property is a bit tired needs an update, not overly clean. Not enough living space for 7 people. Washing machine leaking, drier did not work. Also if you advertise a property has wifi it should work. Location is beautiful, could be an amazing place"

"Great spot for exploring Galloway. Hot tub overlooking the forest, and walks starting straight from the cabin. Wildlife all around. Note that it is attached to another cabin & a farm, so it's not isolated - but we did feel like we had privacy. Otherwise a washing machine could be a good addition. Dave & Becky were very helpful, we'd definitely come back!"

"The tea towel for drying dishes was absolutely stinking of dampness, obviously wasn't clean! There was no kitchen roll so had to use one of the bath towels - it also had dirty marks on. The livingroom/sitting area was stinking of dogs. The plug-in air freshener was empty. Couldn't figure out how to use the grill."
