"Fabulous home in a beautiful, serene valley. You will definitely feel the love when you arrive here. We were greeted by the whole family bearing, wine, charcuterie, and a pineapple upside down cake. It is always such an honor to stay in one of these family homesteads. Lots of space, beautiful décor, amazing landscaping and views of the village. "We had a lovely holiday in Alvarenga. Manuel and his family were warm and welcoming and we loved attempting to chat round the pool in French and Spanish! It's a beautiful area with green eucalyptus hills and the Geo park provided some interesting spots to visit. We didn't explore much because we got lost on the mountain roads on the way to Alvarenga at the beginning of the week but were very glad to stay put and enjoy the immediate locality, although we did make it to Arouca - pretty - & the...
