"Awesome stay! The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a mix of mostly Taiwanese food and some Western food. The rooms were clean and modern. The only two gripes I have, and they're small, is the lack of dresser space and desk in the rooms. Otherwise, it's a great hotel in a fantastic location. Highly recommend!"

Note that Taipei has lights controlled pedestrian crossings everywhere so even if you're a fast walker you'll have to stop a lot The breakfast is good, the room is clean. Note that you can't flush toilet paper (my other hotel in Kaohsiung was the same), you must put it in the provided bin. This was my first experience with this and I was concerned about it, but in reality (a) it doesn't matter in practice and you get used to it very quickly (portable bidet or the shower to feel cleaner), and (b) it's actually true in a lot of places in Taiwan. In the early hours, the elevator from street level doesn't work. You'll need to walk up/down the stairs to the first level and then you can access an elevator from there. This sounds bad from an accessibility point of view, but to be honest Taiwan as a whole is pretty inaccessible due to steps between shops. It's like the entire country is a staircase. "

"Taxi: about $40 from airport to hotel Train: first need to take regular rail (MRT) from the airport to the high speed rail (HSR) station then HSR to hotel; finding hotel is difficult; look for exit M6 Hotel is in a convenient location; older hotel but well kept; good service; 6 elevators; 2 of the 6 elevators will get you to the underground access to the MRT/HSR; laundry room, exercise room, restaurants in hotel and around MRT/HSR; walking distance to Mitsukoshi shopping mall, Daiso, McDonalds, Family Mart, 7-11, Uniqlo, Tim Ho Wan, Sushiro, and others."
