"Lovely spacious clean cottage, very well equipped. Owners were attentive nice people. Summer or winter very comfortable place to be. Good position for visiting lot's of places. Lovely patio to sit in looking out towards the cattle in the fields, watching sunset or rise! We would definitely stay again. Thank you."

Three local pubs but didn’t serve the food and unfortunately the fish and chip shot is closed until early January so we had to buy some food from the CooP. "We’ve stayed in the other property and that seemed to be abit more updated than this one. It advertised as having internet but as property is so remote and thick cottage stone we couldn’t get any internet. Also kitchen area may be needs some updating. All in all had a lovely time. "

"The cottage is lovely and in a great position with nice views out to the hills. It is well located and a short walk down into town (but probably a long climb back which we didn’t do because of the ice) The hosts could not have been more helpful. "Perfect house for get together with large bedrooms 5 of which are en-suite and many with single beds which makes for great flexibility depending on the make up of your group. Large group spaces in kitchen and living room with a great conservatory too. Also on direct bus route to Derby and area. Everything a large group could want. Owners live next door and we’re very welcoming and helpful."

"We booked the cottage for a week's stay whike work was being done on our home. It was a real home from home too. Everything's there, including electric blankets to warm the beds. Although thd heating kept the cottage toasty, we turned most off except living room and bathroom. Loved the log burner too, a real focal point. Internet provided was good, a bonus as the phone signal there is poor, as is most of the local area due to hills etc. Would certainly recommend."

However a few things to make it better : 1- the oven/microwave didn’t work even after trying a few times. It needs a master in engineering to make it work.
