"Our family had the pleasure of staying at Heliconias Nature Inn and Hot Springs for a few days in April, and we left with wonderful memories and a few suggestions for future improvement. We stayed in the Glass House Bungalow, which was an absolute highlight of our trip. The room was beautifully surrounded by nature, and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks on our private balcony. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the lush greenery and natural sounds, made it feel like a true escape from everyday life. The hotel breakfast was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and a perfect start to each day. However, it would be great if there were more variety offered on different days to keep the experience exciting for longer stays. We made good use of the pool and the hot springs during our stay. The hot springs were relaxing and serene, and the pool was enjoyable, especially for families. To enhance the pool experience further, it would be helpful if the hotel provided pool floats or toys for children to play with. Additionally, offering ice cream and snacks by the pool (even for an extra charge) would be a great touch for guests spending time by the water. The staff at Heliconias were incredibly friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated their willingness to transport us to and from our room using company golf carts—this added a convenient and thoughtful touch to our stay. Overall, we had a great experience and left feeling very satisfied."

"The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and in such a unique location. Each bungalow really transports you to a secluded little world in the jungle. The forest on the property was breath taking. A wonderful experience. The staff was welcoming, happy to help with all of our questions, and easily set up off-site activities (ziplining, rafting) and transportation to La Fortuna for dinner/shopping."

"We loves the room with a great view of the ocean on one side and the marinas on the othe side. We had a fully funcional kitchen. It was a great location for driving to many excursiones in the surrounding area. "

"Communication via email and with the staff onsite was excellent! They provided excellent customer service; very friendly, accommodating and welcoming! Nice cozy restaurant area and outdoor lights in the evening. Our room was perfect! "

"We had the best time for our honeymoon at Hotel Belmar! They treated us whenever they could. The staff were so friendly and helpful at every turn and every member of staff seemed to know everyone's name. We took advantage of the onsite experiences by having a couple's massage, doing the night walk, swimming in the lake, using the whirlpool, free beer tasting and excellent food from the restaurant."

"Warm welcome by the owners Lelo, Juana, Beatriz and Natalia who were very nice, kind, helpful and professional. Our cabin was clean, lovely, spacious with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The lush gardens were fantastic. They offer laundry service at $5/kg, assigned free parking, pool with mineral spring water, strong WiFi, delicious breakfast from 7-9am and dinner at 6pm. The dirt road from the highway to the lodge was rather lengthy. Great job and thanks. Highly recommended!"

"There were howler monkeys outside in our first morning when we arrived. We also saw scarlet macaws both mornings we were there and the breakfast was nice and convenient to start the day with. The staff were very friendly and very helpful in planning tours for the days."

"Great hotel for a great price. One of the few hotels I’ve stayed in where the pictures do not do it justice, the view from our mountain suite was amazing. The room was clean, spacious, and secure. The room doesn’t have A/C which threw us off at first but this is typical for the area as the cool mountain wind was more than enough for a comfortable stay with the windows cracked. The area around the hotel is surrounded by forest so it was extremely quiet and relaxing, calm enough even to see some wildlife roaming freely through the property. The overall decor of the room and common areas was extremely beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, specifically the gentleman at the front desk and the gentleman that kept the bar in the evening and served us breakfast in the morning. I can’t recommend this place enough. We wished we had time to stay here longer but we will definitely be back!"
