"DO NOT STAY HERE. We were hoping for a resort-style place to unwind for a day before we travelled to Sapa. We arrived at 6am hoping for an early check-in. We paid NZD90 for a night and were charged USD80 (NZD120) to check in early. Breakfast was sparse and tastes awful - this place had the worst selection we have encountered so far. "Its higher up in the hills, its far enough from the busy areas so its peacefull, all you hear is the chickens. Mountains look foggy and mysterious. Its a good location to go in walks from, I saw lots of the famous terraced fields. "If I could give the family alone 5 stars, I would. They invited us to join them for dinner each night (for 150k each) and it was a very nice experience! They also helped to arrange a trek through the area and a car back to Sapa town when it was time for us to leave. But anyone who is planning to visit in the winter should be warned that it is very cold and the home does not have heat which made it rather uncomfortable. Luckily, the days were sunny which helped but the nights were very cold....
