"Horrible experience. I was traveling to Berlin for one night and upon arrival I found the hotel front door closed. Apparently this is normal as there is no staff on hand unless there is a check-in due however this prompted me to give the hotel a call. The lady on the phone then (in a very rude manner) informed me that the booking I had had been cancelled by hotels.com and that there were no rooms available. "The only reason I didn't give excellent is because the hallway and stairs need work. The room itself was bright and comfortable and clean. I feel this prooerty has gotten an unfair rap. It is an older building and not your IBIS but it is fair value downtown AND the host is the nicest and most helpful we have encountered AND there is an excelkent and full breakfastbreakfast "

"The internet was broken, no elevetor - no airconditioning and the bugs - flies and wasps flew into the room. Had to have the windows open because it was so hot. Nice older couple ( I'm 74 myself) but in way over their heads. Really too bad. I booked another hotel through expedia and move - a good hotel the Mercure."
