"This was a wonderful weekend and the perfect getaway from the busy holiday season. We were able to walk around the neighborhood, sit inside by the fire, and watch our favorite holiday movie. The location is far enough from the busier areas of Door County, but close enough to drive into Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, and Sister Bay. We would definitely recommend this to friends."

"I used the apartment as a getaway spot for catching up on work and reading -- not as a base for Door-County activities, though I did get out every day for a while -- so my needs and interests probably weren't typical for people renting for short stays. "Beautiful view and home, we can't wait to return in the summer when we can utilize the kayaks! The ladybug friends in the house were not welcome but I can imagine it's difficult to be bug free when located in the woods. Loved the different coffee options! Sad the espresso machine in the wall was out of order. Lots of kitchenware which is a plus in rentals! Lots of parking which was awesome for our group of 12 ladies. Overall great experience!"

"We were quite comfortable at the The Lake Haus. It was very peaceful looking out at the bay from the firepit area and the sunsets from the dock were gorgeous. The game room was a hit with everyone, especially the golf and Tempest arcade games and the electronic dart board. The bunk room was very well laid out and the beds very comfortable. "The house was perfect for our family. Everyone was able to have their own room and bed. Plenty of room to eat. Liked how it was so open - between the living room, kitchen and dining room area. Having the backyard fenced in was nice to have with 2 little ones. The house was stocked with everything that we needed. The downside to the house rental was the flies. There were flies everywhere so when we were cooking, or eating, and they were flying all around, it was kind of gross. "

"The cottage is in a rural setting but close to many attractions. Enjoy long walks with a canopy of trees and wildlife. Beautiful sunsets available with water views. A lighthouse is just across the road. Sturgeon Bay has many unique shops and restaurants to enjoy. Day trips to Door County are doable."

"Nice little cottage that still comfortably fit 7 adults. Overall was clean. Lots of little flies inside but we were aware of this beforehand and wasn't an issue. Beautiful views and a nice outdoor space. Perfect place for an outdoor adventurer to stay. Property provides all the basics. Host is very communicative. "

Only hitch in the trip is they show 5 beds still on vrbo website , but 2 of the beds have been removed from home. We still made due plenty of couch space. Will be back again next year. "Great location with beautiful property you can walk. The log home is huge and gorgeous and is well stocked with premium toilet paper! Great communication with hosts, they attended to our every need and had plenty of wood for daily fires outside AND inside! Would definitely rent again!"

The property offered a cozy atmosphere and ample room. The views of the lake were relaxing and calming, evoking the tranquility we were looking for. "We had a family gathering with adult children, my 90 year old dad, plus two dogs, and the house was perfect. The kitchen is well stocked, and we loved the various porches and outdoor spaces for relaxing. Beautiful location in the woods, a short walk to the water, great for running, and a short drive to all the nearby towns. The fire pit in the back was awesome. I highly recommend this property!"
