"Lovely atmospheric hotel with interesting architecture The staff were all very friendly and helpful The garden are nice even in February but too wet out to fully explore. Could do with a bit of touching up here and there but our room was very comfortable with the biggest shower ever!"

"The property was not only located in the most convenient location imaginable (I was working in the castle, which is literally just across the road!), but the hotel is very nice in itself. The room I was in was small, but not in a bad way. I had space for everything I needed, the phone signal and WiFi were strong, the bed was comfortable, there were even complimentary biscuits! "We stayed for 4 nights at the Black Lion. The room was spacious and comfortable. If you wanted every day cleaning, then you would probably have to ask. For us, we found that ok. It is a very busy place and popular. The bed was comfortable. The shower is in the bath, which for me was a bit awkward, as I am in my 80s. The food was really good, breakfast and evening meals really tasty and filling. The hosts and all the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Absolutely recommended. "

"A last min booking for new years eve! I booked a family room for myself , Hubby and 7 year old son. The day arrived and the weather forecast was awful and nearly stopped our visit however after prompt, helpful communication from Regan we decided to try and brave the travel. "We stayed at Bron Y Graig for just one night during a sports weekend. It’s a beautiful and comfortable guest house with stunning views. We enjoyed chilling out in the bar room playing games and chatting. I adore William Morris print so the decor at Bron Y Graig brought me so much joy! Sadly, we had to leave before breakfast which was such a shame because the smells coming out from the kitchen were delicious!"

"Gorgeous little cottage set in the owners grounds, self check-in, very private and beautifully decorated. The surrounding area is stunning, with gorgeous Harlech beach and Snowdonia right on your doorstep! Great little pub down the road that served lovely food. The owner Gary was always quick to respond to any questions. We will be back :)"

"I stayed at the White Lion on my way down from Scotland. Turned out to be brilliant choice. The hotel has fantastic pub and atmosphere. I really liked the staff, very friendly lot. My room was on the top floor, it was spacious, had a great bed, good bathroom and housecleaning. 👍 It’s central to Bala and Bala is a great village."

"We were greeted at the bar ahead of time and allowed to check in early. We had booked a twin room and was allocated a room on the first floor that was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the linen very good. The room was rather too hot but a fan was provided. Staff were great. Breakfast the next morning was very good and cooked to order . I would definitely stay again. Free parking is a bomus."
