"We loved our long weekend here! The owners were very friendly and responsive. The property has everything you need and more. The biggest plus is its coziness. Between the open room and the great porch with pretty views of the lake, I finished a whole book. Kind of don't want to leave too good of a review because I want to keep it a secret! We WILL be back! (Note: as others have said, the cabin is not good for people who cannot do stairs)"

"The property was roomy, very clean, and well-appointed. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook. Plus there is a grill outside. Outside, you have three decks to lounge on and gaze at the beautiful view of the lake. We saw deer and made a fire near the floating dock. The weekend was relaxing and a way to reconnect with family. "Our 4 night stay was wonderful, the inside has been recently renovated albeit it looks like some work is still being done in certain areas. It certainly did not deter from the overall experience and the owners have done a great job with the improvements thus far. The kitchen is amazing for cooking and entertaining. The house has an in-line water heater which was nice! The location is 45 minutes from Winterplace ski resort and about a 15 min car ride to most retail restaurant establishments. ...

"We loved Four Fillies! The property was kept up very well and was so beautiful. I loved the sound of the creek. We travelled back and forth from Blacksburg which was a bit of a trek (45 minutes) but was a fairly easy drive. it was so worth it!"

"Wonderful cabin for one or two! It was clean, well organized and neat. The bed is comfortable. Heating/AC worked well. It is in a very remote location a few miles off the four line highway, down a narrow, dark paved road, and then onto a narrow, dark unpaved road for the last 1/8 mile or so. It’s a very quiet area. Couple minor issues—the light bulbs in the ceiling fan in the living room did not work, but the fan itself worked. And all the lights and power in the bedroom stopped working...

"My wife, daughter, and I stayed here while enroute to the Columbus Zoo in Ohio. The Glo Haus is a unique set up allowing for simple, low key lodging in a very beautiful and scenic area. My daughter spent more time either in or running along the babbling brook situated behind the structures. Each evening and morning we would sit and watch a group of deer that would walk down the hillside easement and eat the acorns that had fallen from the oaks on the property. "This is a quaint cabin on a peaceful country road with a bubbling creek running behind it. Perfectly clean, well equipped. The host, Amy was super nice and accommodating (she saved our biscuits when we misplaced our key and need an assist). If you are into history, The cabin is made of hand hewn timbers from the mid-1800’s and was moved and rebuilt onsite. Oh, the stories that place could tell…!! "
