Hotel was being remodeled. We arrived and the parking lot had 5 Connex boxes in the front. Everything was half finished. Workers were putting together furniture in the front. The staff was doing their best but the hotel should not have been open. Room was ok but not finished. Night stand was not attached. The contractor should be fired because things were completed half way. Paint everywhere - trim, shower, floor. Very messy. New carpet and floors already ruined by workers. I compliment the staff for doing their best with 3 people.

The hotel was under renovations and we knew this, but were told 3rd floor was done. Our room was filthly a max pad stock on wall, dirty bedding and shower. Still drywall dust on floor in corners. No access to outlet for Cpap machine by bed wasn't give refund as wasn't 24 hr notice. We would of stayed if the room was clean. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. I get the construction as that is what I do for a living, but having to wait for 30 minutes after check in to get into room and then not be clean is ridicules. So we left and was denied a refund.

When we arrived we relized they were remodeling (would have been nice to be told this when booking the room) by all the containers in the parking lot. Once inside there was a path to the halway. The woman got snippy when i asked to see the room and informed me i had booked through a thrid party and had to pay no matter what. The room smelled awful so i turned on the air to see if it helped (it did some). We asked about the breakfast since the dinning area was full of boxes. We were told it was a hot breakfast. With eggs, bacon, sausage etc. No it was not the only eggs were boiled in the refrigerator, no bacon nothing hot. We understand they were remodeling but there was no reasonto lie. I would not recommendthis place to anyone.

Time for renovations
Hotel is under renovations, and they are much needed. The tub and sink wouldnt drain. Keys stopped working before check out. No ice machines. Pool was nice, beds were ok.

Property was under renovations so there were boxes all over the lobby, hallways, and breakfast area. No employees at the desk at night so a guy on a video call helped. Reserved a room with 2 beds, they gave me one with a single king. Surprisingly, they just left the key on the counter behind the video call screen which anyone could've taken and used. Carpets, walls, and bathroom were all very dirty and the elevator didn't work. Very disappointing considering I could've booked a hotel down the road for cheaper, but decided that pricepoint must've been for a very low quality hotel. I was wrong.

The bathroom has been dirty with some blood and hair by the bathtub and hair in the sink. We were tired with my son after the long drive so I did not complain but we rather did not take a shower. The receptionist was very nice and the hotel is undergoing remodeling so I give them a benefit of doubt. Should we stay more than just overnight I would definitely complain and demand the change of the room.

My advice would be to close this property down. There was no one at the desk at check in, had to ring a bell, like in the early 1800s. The whole property, inside and out, was filthy. There was no WiFi, the TV didn't work. Whoever had the room next to mine apparently had a TV that worked, because they played it at top volume throughout the night. If I hadn't been so exhausted from selling at a 2-day fair nearby, there is no way I would have stayed there. I was up most of the night checking on my car and contents because I felt like it was in a place that could easily have been broken into. The ONLY positive was that the sheets and pillow cases were clean and smelled clean, like they'd been bleached, thank goodness. It's hard to believe this hotel is allowed to operate under these conditions. Do not stay here, drive away.

The room had a non working AC and half the light bulbs were missing and it was terribly maintained and filthy, Black Mold was everywhere in the bathrooms and they made an attempt to paint the old plastic bathtubs but half of it had peeled off in both rooms. So they gave us a different room which was no better as far as dirty and all other previous issues were present,but the AC did work a little, it was too late to find another hotel and we were tired so we dealt with it. I complained to the staff and their response was we are in remodeling stage and you’re lucky to get a room for what you paid. So unprofessional. There were boxes of shower enclosures along side the building that the cardboard was molded and falling apart they had been out there so long. I looked at their website and for the past 3.5 years people had complained about the same things we encountered so remodeling must have stopped then and they use that as an excuse and are a disgrace to all Wingates we ever stayed at. The staff could not have been more rude and I would not recommend that place to homeless people much less paying patrons. Worst experience we have ever encountered.
