"The venue looks like it was lovely in its day but it is tired and dated. There is pigeon poop on the ledges outside and the pool needs a revamp. The hotel could be done up beautifully and it would be amazing. Pluses were that the room was fine. Nice staff at check in. Great to be able to park our vehicles. "

"Fantastic hotel in a top spot in Gisborne. The staff are warm and friendly. We have stayed in this hotel often and we would totally recommend it to all travellers. The views of the river and harbour are great. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Again thanks for a great stay. "

"My review is not actually for the glamping tent. The owner sent an email several days in advance of my stay letting me know the tents had blown away during a storm. I instead stayed in a Zen Cabin (for no extra charge) and it was wonderful! One of my favorite stays in NZ. Parking is right outside the cabin, easy check-in and entry, beautifully decorated, private kitchenette, private bathroom, comfortable bed facing the ocean in front of a huge picture window."
