"Great location, 20 minutes from Old Town, 10 minutes from Universitate metro, but on a busy road so you may want to keep the windows shut. Fortunately there is efficient air conditioning (controlled by a remote). Clean, comfortable, with a small kitchenette (fridge, sink, microwave, kettle). I kept the blinds closed against the heat and the workmen outside, and then found the lighting a little dim. Brighter bulbs and/or a bedside light would be welcome."

"A very well designed apartment, covered all our needs and more. Plenty of space and nice touches such as the skylights, private parking and elevator. Host provided excellent communication and answered all our questions We had a wonderful time, we will come back. Thanks!"

"Excellent location! Within walking distance of everything. There is a basic kitchen. They kindly stored our suitcases while we visited another city and came back. We were sent clear instructions to get. We mentioned that there were.cockcroches inside the unit and were told they would be dealt with. There were still some cockroaches upon returning. The control for the AC was broken, so we were hot! "

"We had some initial issues with Expedia putting this apartment in Old Town when it is not, luckily we managed to upgrade on the way there to one that is. Unfortunately by coincidence our upgrade then suffered a burst pipe so George upgraded us again to the property next door! Both apartments were lovely regardless! Thank you George for all your help, you were invaluable. "

"The area is great, within walking distance from Old Town. The apartament is rather spacious, and nicely furnished. The floors are very creaky and you can hear every noise from the street. We did not get much sleep. Furthermore, the drain in the bathroom overflowed into the living area after my daughter tried to take a shower, and we had to scramble to clean it up with towels. Radu is excellent at communicating and providing helpful suggestions! He is a gem. He picked me up from the airport and pointed out attractions and their historical context on the way to the apartment. I highly recommend this apartment!"

"I have stayed here a few times and like it a lot. It’s v close to Piata romana. Small problems are: the internet is patchy. It’ll sometimes drop for no reason, and won’t appear on WiFi for a little while. Secondly, I’m uncertain that they change the door pass code. I usually ask for the bedroom key so that I can lock it at night and also when I go out. "

InterContinental Athénée Palace Bucharest, an IHG Hotel

"In theory this could have been a bad review. The restaurant and spa were closed for renovation, the lack of soundproofing in the interconnecting rooms meant our noisy neighbours kept us awake at 5am, and we were promised a room with a bath but didn’t get one. However the way the brilliant staff responded to every problem or request, the beautiful rooms and the really helpful concierge made a big difference and left us with such a positive view of the hotel still. The duty manager Andreea was especially helpful even helping us arrange a car back from the National Arena late at night. Would definitely return and trust that the issues we had were one offs. "

Well located Grand hotel

"Grand hotel with impressive common spaces and a superb bar in the original vault (make sure you get a reservation even for cocktails) Rooms were decent size and well appointed. Breakfast excellent Only point of warning is the spa (which is very nice) is quite small and therefore difficult to use at busy times. Maybe try a different hotel if this is your main requirement as you could be disappointed Hotel is well located close to the old town and also near shopping areas and most of the tourist sites "
