"Pousada Costa Verde was a nice stay on Ilha Grande. It was very clean and well maintained (though this is because of very strict rules, so if you're intent is to party, this is not the spot for you). The manager is super nice and provides a lot of great advice based on your expectations of your trip. The pousada is off the beaten path and does not come with breakfast like other pousadas on the mainland do."

"It was a really cool place to stay. Right on their own private beach! The staff were friendly and helpful. Don’t speak English but Google translate is a blessing. We had a free breakfast and lunch which was awesome! The room had a lot of character and the kitchen and bar are open reasonably late. Wish it had an air conditioner, and our room was right by a communal area with no noise proofing. And we had to pay for the beach towels which was weird. When we got to the house, the house manager informed us of the daily housekeeping fees which were not listed in our contract which were significantly more money out of pocket. "We had an amazing week stay! The house accommodated comfortably 20 adults and 4 children. The gourmet area located by the beach is the high point as we all got together during the day and until late at night. The house staff I don’t have enough words to describe them.
